What I Fancy...To be a Hitchcock Blonde

photo Hitchcockblonde_zps2804f313.jpg 1|2|3|4|5|6|7| Suspense, drama, murder and an end with a twist pretty much encapsulates a Hitchcock film. But no thriller by the talented, British Director is complete without a gorgeous blonde dressed to the nines to grace the screen. And speaking of Grace...Kelly that it is, you can add to the list Kim Novak, Eva Marie Saint, Janet Leigh and of course, Tippi Hendren. Here is my modern take on what I would wear as a 'Hitchcock Blonde!'

One cannot help but wear different shades and textures of deep espresso to soft tan during Fall. I am loving a strong red, matte lip and touches of gold with this warm palette. What are you going to wear with brown this Autumn? Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by:)

Hello everyone! Hope you had a fun weekend. Shaun and I had a weekend of family. Saturday Shaun, Zubin(Shaun's brother), Meera(the boy's mom), Dadima(boy's grandmother) and I met for lunch. It was her 85th birthday. We had a lovely lunch filled with good food and laughs. That sangria pictured was for both Meera and birthday girl to share but to be honest Dadima polished it off;) Later that afternoon we headed back to Shaun's Dad and Ginger's home to continue the birthday celebration with a few close family friends. Sunday morning I woke up bright and early so Ginger and I could shop the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, but sadly not early enough to buy a bag. All gone by 8:45. Luckily my BFF, Amme, bought an extra bag and has saved it for me! Sunday I met up with my sisters and our cousin Erin for lunch. Such a great time! We ate at the popular Delfina Pizzeria in the Mission and then to Tartine Bakery for sweets and coffee. I would strongly suggest checking out both places if you have not already. Have a great week, thanks for stopping by. Oh and we watched football Sunday night.

Happy Monday everyone! It was soooo hot here in the Bay Area, why don't I own a pool? Despite the heat, we enjoyed Saturday with good friends and a lovely trip to Regale Winery and Vineyards. The property and views were breath taking and the boys enjoyed a intense game of bocce. Thank you for the invite Sumit, we had a great time:) Sunday we joined a car rally: Destination Wine Country. We enjoyed a stunning backroad trip through meadows, redwood grooves and vineyards of Napa Valley. Unfortunately on our drive we also witnessed what was the beginning of what became a 40 acre fire in Sonoma. It's so dangerous this time of year, it's very dry, and only takes one spark. Fortunately , no one was hurt. The rally ended with a private tasting at Kelham Vineyard. The venue was stunning, the wine delicious , and the family gracious. I very much enjoyed, as the owner described, the French style Chardonnay. Yummy! Our busy weekend ended with a family time walk to Los Altos for dinner, just the three of us. Me, Shaun and our boy Arthur, the cutest Bernese Mt Dog ever. Have a great week!

Craving Fall

I am, I am! I keep day dreaming about layers, boots, and sweaters. When thinking about beautiful sweaters, my mind drifts off to a day trip I took outside Glasgow, Scotland to the countryside. With all the adorable sheep roaming the glass hills. The picture above was taken that day last year. I would love to go back, such lovely people. Have a fun filled weekend, the forecast calls for clear skies and warm days here in the Bay Area so my dreams of sweaters and boots will have to wait:)

Michelin Star La Chèvre d'Or gourmet. Tragically I became so full I could not enjoy the final cheese course , they had a cart of about 20 amazing looking cheeses. So sad, must go back.

A` la prochain

With our one-year wedding anniversary in a couple weeks I can’t help but reminisce about our glamorous honeymoon. I met Shaun in Paris, he was there for a conference, and we stayed through the romantic rainy weekend to dine and shop.
Next stop Aix-en Provence, Shaun had a meeting, so it was a few days really, before starting the honeymoon in Nice. Then on to my favorite stop. A weekend in Eze, France. We stayed at the fabulous Chateau De Chevre D'Or…it was so hard to leave. Shaun and I then took a little road trip along the Cote d’ Azur with a stop in Monte Carlo to lunch at the famous 'Café de Paris' to watch the luxury sport cars pull up to The Casino de Monte-Carlo. Shaun was in total guy heaven. Then, off to Italy we went. We stayed in the small, charming village of Camogli. From there we spent time in the very popular and often 'pinned' Portofino. Before heading home we spent a few days in Aix-en Provence . One of the highlights was a day trip to the winery at Grand Boise. Not only was the wine amazing, it was educational(did you know in France and other "Old World" countries they do not use irrigation in viticulture) and the views of Mount St. Victoire breath taking. So breath taking in fact, Cezanne painted this vast eye-candy over and over. I wish I could do it all again.

Insta Weekend Aug 30-Sep 2 '13

As many of you ended your summer with a bang at BBQ's, the beach or a lake and relaxing with your favorite people, I had a nice, mellow weekend. With my husband away in Amsterdam for business (as usual), it was Arthur and I to figure out the long weekend. Arthur got a nice good scrub, much to his dismay. Seeing that my furry baby is the same weight as me, I have to get really creative to coerce him into the shower stall. Nothing else works like a dog treat that resembles a hot dog, quickly tossed in and chase after him to slam the door!! On Sunday, my sister and I (along with one of her twins) were lucky enough to attend our friend's special little man's 5th birthday. Always a great venue in the open of the Bay Area hills and surrounded by a great group of people. Monday morning, Arthur was rewarded by a nice, long early hike with his litter mate, Pixel and his mom. The boys love each other and it really wore them out. Ended Labor Day the day with a simple BBQ at my sister's house which included our parents, my sisters, brother-in-law, my twin nephews and teen niece. Right after we finished our food it started to rain! SO not the California we know and love! Although, after a few humid filled days, the cool breeze and rain were welcomed. Bring on the FALL!!!
