Hello everyone! I am so excited to share my VERY short trip to London. I have been to London a few times before so it was nice to not have the pressure of sightseeing. While Shaun worked I took a nice walk into Hyde Park, did a bit of shopping and finished a book I bought while in Paris "French Children Don't Throw Food" by Pamela Druckerman. I have always wondered while sitting in a bistro in Paris , "how is this French child sitting happily through a meal without an iPad?"...read this book to find out. Thankfully Mr. Bagai was free in the evenings so we dined. I would recommend Gordon Ramsay's modern French restaurant 'Petrus'. The service was top notch and everything was delectable..the cheese selection will not disappoint. If you are looking for Fish and Chips check out 'Grazing Goat' in the Portman Village. They describe their offerings as "Classic British cuisine using fresh ingredients with seasonal menus based on traditional and modern recipes." Shaun and I enjoyed lunch at the Grazing Goat both days. I very much enjoyed the food at 'Aqua Kyoto' but the service was much to be desired. One of the nights we were invited to Annabel's , the world famous private night club, by Shaun's socialite cousin. If you know a member, it's a bit of a "show" but definitely worth checking out. Hope you enjoy and thank you for stopping by!

What I fancy...Pinks

Miss Prescott(Kay Thompson) enthusiastically sang "Think pink, think pink" in 1957's Funny Face and in Fall 2013 that is exactly what we are doing. Pink, being one of my favorite colors to wear,I was beyond trilled to incorporate this traditionally Spring color into my cool season wardrobe. Speaking of cool weather...this week I am off to London for a few days and hopefully some fun post will come of it:) Have a wonderful week and thank you for stopping by.

Happy Monday everyone! Well it's finally starting to feel like Fall here in the Bay Area..kinda. Its nice and cool in the morning and its now warm during the day(like 72)rather then hot. Shaun and I actually used the fireplace(it's gas)last week. Only to turn it off realizing twenty minutes later it is not that cold outside and we would soon end up in short. Anyways the change in the season got me thinking about sprucing up my makeup drawer. This Fall I am all about a matte lip in a rich color paired with a graphic ,yet simple, eye. Both products above should make this look easy to active. Are we excited about Tory Burch's venture into the beauty market? I am! The perfume's fragrance is heavenly and the bottle is beyond stylish. On the practical side may I suggest a few hydrated products. My skin feels the change in the weather first so I need to step up the moisturizing by adding a oil after bathing and please try my homemade mask:) Your skin will thank you. Have a wonderful week!

Insta Weekend September 27th '13

 photo PicMonkeyCollageMaui_zps500caced.jpg

On September 22, Shaun and I celebrated our one year anniversary! We had a big party with family and friends on the 21st then packed our bags and headed to Weilea, Maui!:) Did we take the Road to Hana? No. Did we paddle board? No. Sunset cruise? No. We did pretty much NOTHING(and a little shopping;) My husband is usually going 150 mph work or play so just sitting poolside with our only worry for six days was where to eat for dinner was perfect. So I have a few restaurant recommendations for you..go to Hali'imaile General Store. This eatery is set in a 1925 plantation "general store". It is off the beaten path but so worth the drive. Try the Popcorn Shrimp dipped in Truffle Honey. Delicious! If you are looking for amazing cocktails, top notch service, and inventive dishes, then dine at Spago set in the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel in Wailea. Do not leave with out trying the Spicy Ahi Tuna "Poke" in Sesame in Miso Cones. We went back for seconds the next night. If you are looking for a romantic evening set to a string duo overlooking the pacific then Ferraro's Bar Ristorante in the Four Seasons would be the place. The lunch and dinner menus are different so one can go twice in one day..we did:) Our little "second honeymoon" , as Shaun called, was totally romantic, easy, and a needed break. Looking back over the past year I think about all the travel, parties, and fun but I also think about how hard the first year can be. My close friends are honest about this "honeymoon" period, it can be challenging at moments to bring two individuals together and make "one" to a "us". With that I must say there in not a single person on this planet I could imagine this journey with. I love the man I married and I am very looking forward to year 2 and 3,4,5,6.........
