Think Pink

I must say that I am very pleased that we have firmly established that pale pink is no longer a tone reserved for Spring. (My mother, the artist, would appreciate that I did not use the term "shade.")

Walking into Banana Republic, I knew this adorable skirt would look beautiful for Fall. I have worn a classic tee in this post because it's still so warm out!! I am so looking forward to crisp autumn days!!

Fields of Gold

This past weekend we headed to Bodega Bay for the weekend.  My in-laws have the most beautiful beach fact we love it so much that three years ago today we got married in Bodega Bay!  You can see the wedding post here. This weekend was a little more relaxing and low key then our wedding weekend as you can imagine but just what we wanted. It was perfect!

I took long naps, the in-laws and Shaun golfed, and I took walks to the sand with our pup, Arthur.  If you are considering taking a vacation to the Northern California Coast, I would highly recommend coming in September/October.  It is the most beautiful time of year with clear sky. The summer months can be quite cold and overcast but the Fall is perfection.

Happy Friday!!

I don't know about you but I am very much looking forward to this weekend. Shaun, Arthur and I are heading to the coast. Bodega Bay. On the agenda? Rest and relaxation. It is always a very chill weekend with my in-laws at their beach house which sounds perfect to me!! I think I am going to do a little baking too. I miss it being gluten and dairy free. I am thinking a apple pie for the family and G-free dairy free, chocolate chips bars for me.

Fringe and Leather Midi

A few things happened the past couple of days.

The biggest being that I am pregnant!!!  I went in to my doctors office, exactly ten days after implanting the little embryo, to take a blood test, and four long hours later, we got the call "yes, you are pregnant, very pregnant" . I will have to put some thought into how explain how I feel. This is been such a long road, and I want to do it justice, so I am going to explain more in a future blog post what this all means to me and us. I guess the feeling that I can share at this moment…is calm.

For months - this past year really - I have been a tense, stressed, sad and frustrated women, but now I feel so at peace with a release of all those negative hurt feelings.  I feel like I breathe.  I am going to be a mom and we are going to be parents.  Ok. More later or I am going to cry.

In other news: I got extensions.  This is very new to me as I have never had extensions before, and it has been ages since my hair has been so long.  A big concern of mine was how damaging it would be to my hair, and my stylist insured me that with proper care the tape-in kind of extensions would be best.  To be honest I don't know what to do with all this hair!!  I am going to wear this Disney Princess length for a little bit but may bring up the length..we will see.  To check out more of her work take a look at her Instagram

And on to the outfit. This skirt is from Target!! Can you believe it? And the adorable sweater vest is with the fringe detail is from Banana Republic and super on sale right now!  I have sort of been living in it. Pumps are Vice Comuto. The bag I bought last year but here is a similar style. Sunnies are by Prada.

Have the most wonderful day!!

Labor Day

Hello everyone!!

If you follow me on Instagram you already know that I have been resting because we implanted our one and only little healthy embryo this past week. So exciting!!

On Monday, I actually left the house and headed to the coast for lunch at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay. It was a welcome distraction, as I am sure you can imagine, I am a bit nervous. I can't help but wonder if the procedure has worked as I am expecting. Totally nerve racking. Okay, lets talk fashion....

It was gorgeous outing! If you are ever planning a trip to the Northern California Coast, Fall is by far the best time of year to visit. I wore a transitional look....a dress I bought in the Spring at Ann Taylor and slipped on some cheetah print pumps to bring it in to Fall.

Now, I am suppose to take it easy but planned some fun things to keep my mind occupied:  a dinner with friends, time with family and OMG I am getting hair extensions.  It's been ages since I have had really long locks, and I really hope they turn out natural looking:) I will let you be the judge!

Thank you for stopping by!
